Warranty Policy

Peggs Warranty

Effective from November 1st, 2021, Peggs offers an extended 10-year warranty on all Handy Line products purchased, starting from the date of purchase. Handy Line products purchased before November 1st, 2021, are covered by a 2-year warranty and are not eligible for the 10-year extended warranty offer.

 

This warranty is given by Peggs ABN 75635636716 of PO Box 33, Melrose Park SA 5039 and:

  1. Entitles the original purchaser to replacement of a Peggs Handy Line or parts for a period of 10 years excluding the Polycord which will carry a 2-year warranty. Peggs will during normal business hours repair or replace any parts which in the opinion of the manufacturer is defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. Provided the Handy Line has been used for the purpose in which it was designed namely a portable indoor/outdoor clothesline and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If a Peggs Handy Line has been used for commercial purposes, or the Handy Line has been sold through an international resellers, the warranty period is 2 years and 1 year on the Polycord.
  2. Entitles the original purchaser to replacement of Peggs accessories for a period of 2 years. Peggs will during normal business hours repair or replace any parts which in the opinion of the manufacturer is defective due to faulty materials or workmanship. Provide the accessory has been used for the purpose in which it was designed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If a Peggs accessory has been used for commercial purposes, or the product has been sold through an international resellers, the warranty is for 1 year. Peggs accessories are listed as follows: - Pegs, Hooks, Peg bag, Laundry Basket, and replacement Polycord.
  3. FOR PURCHASERS OF THE DELUXE AND/OR CLASSIC PRODUCTS:
    1. Entitles the original purchaser to FREE LABOUR AND REPLACEMENT OF PARTS for a period of 10 years. Peggs or one of its duly appointed authorised service agents will during normal business hours repair or replace any part which in the opinion of the manufacturer is defective due to faulty material or workmanship provided that the appliance had been used for the purpose in which it was designed, namely a clothesline and operated in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. If same has been used for commercial purposes, the period of warranty is 2 years only.
    2. The purchaser will be responsible for paying any transport charges on, and damages and loss incurred in connection with the transportation of this appliance to and from Peggs or its accredited service agents' premises.
  4. This warranty does not apply to any Peggs products which has been: -
    1. subject to misuse, neglect, accident, or alteration by any person
    2. damaged or destroyed by fire, flood, Act of God or other inevitable accident
    3. hired to any person or persons
    4. used with anything other than Peggs genuine spare parts.
  5. Your proof of the date of purchase must be produced before free service is provided.
  6. Nothing contained in this warranty is intended to purport, to restrict modify or exclude the operation of any of the provisions contained in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or any similar or substituted enactment.
